High Efficiency and Reliability

- A world-class variable-displacement piston pump and proportional priority pressure-compensating (PPC) valves form a hydraulic system designed specifically for motor grader applications. It continuously matches hydraulic flow and pressure to power demand, supports smooth multifunction control, and reduces energy loss for improved working efficiency.

- The implement pump has been moved to the transmission power take-off (PTO) port, and the pump drive shaft beneath the cab has been removed. This reduces operating noise and creates fewer daily maintenance points.

- The standard blade float function allows the blade to lower without hydraulic pressure, providing greater versatility. It protects the machine during snow removal, reduces operator workload, and improves construction efficiency.

- Class-leading circle-drive torque provides greater material spreading and blading capacity with superior working efficiency.

- Flexible configurations meet diverse customer requirements, including options such as hand throttle, Drawbar Circle Moldboard (DCM) grease tank, level gauge, rear camera, and transmission guard.

Ease of Operation

- The cab, mounted on the front frame, provides an exceptional view of the blade and front axle, even during articulation, supporting safe and accurate operation.

- Short-throw levers are efficiently arranged for easy multifunction control. Their short travel and low operating effort reduce operator fatigue and improve overall efficiency.

- The PPC load-sensing hydraulic system maintains consistent, precise blade movement during cylinder extension and retraction, regardless of engine speed.

- A seven-hole link bar with electro-hydraulic control allows convenient in-cab operation and excellent blade extension capability.

- Air conditioning is standard. Additional vents in the dashboard and left and right cab pillars improve comfort, while enhanced cab sealing reduces noise and vibration.

Robustness and Durability

- The A-frame tubular drawbar provides maximum strength and durability. The flanged box-section front frame removes welds from high-stress areas, improving reliability and durability. Continuous top- and bottom-plate construction further strengthens the front frame.

- Drawing on Caterpillar’s grader tandem axle design and experience, the improved bearing layout and optimized load distribution feature a final drive with four planetary gears, an oil-bath tandem axle, and longer lubrication intervals, reducing the need for frequent oil changes.

- Inboard lock-check valves within the PPC system prevent unintended cylinder movement and potential leaks.

- The hydraulic cooling fan is available with a standard 43°C package and an optional 50°C package, providing improved adaptability across different operating environments.

Ease of Maintenance and Lower Cost

- The new family-style metal-molded hood creates a bold appearance and includes left and right side doors for easy service and maintenance.

- Replaceable drawbar draft ball, bolted rather than welded, enables easy removal of wear shims and the drawbar, reducing service time and cost.

- The tandem axle is equipped with an external disc service brake for superior braking performance and shorter stopping distances. SEM wheel-loader-compatible friction plates are easy to replace and highly reliable. Grease-free lubrication for the rear axle and tandem, together with an adjustment-free chain design, extends maintenance intervals and lowers ownership costs.

- Hydraulic hose routing minimizes exposure to damage and provides quick service access.

- One-key operation supports convenient machine and fleet management.

- The trailer hitch fill port is raised for easier oil filling and better protection from impact. The transmission oil dipstick has been replaced with a glass level gauge for more convenient inspection.

Operational Safety

- The disc service brake uses dual circuits for independent front/rear and left/right braking, ensuring high safety standards.

- The dashboard includes a three-level alarm monitoring system.
